Readers Theatre Plus is a non-profit organization that presents play readings, the revenue from which goes entirely to another non-profit on the Peninsula.  In 2009, our productions benefitted The Peninsula Singers, Sequim Museum and Arts Center, First Step for Families, Olympic Theatre Arts, SNAP and Sew Much Comfort. In addition, Readers Theatre Plus (RT+) gave two scholarships, one to a senior at Sequim High School and the other to a senior at Port Angeles High school.  We presented a journalist/author, Ethan Casey, who told of his experiences and views of Pakistan and an environmental film “A Sea Change”, both for education purposes. Because of this screening, there will be a public screening of “A Sea Change” at Peninsula College!  Plant a seed!

Readers Theatre Plus makes great efforts to include all members in the community by having few rehearsals, require no memorization and have simple staging.  This enables those who have heavy schedules or fears about remembering lines to have a performance outlet.   The “Plus” also stands for other artists (musical, visual, literary) to present their work before the play and during intermission.

Cultural Connections is a networking meeting as well. Please enjoy networking among supporters of the Arts and make your announcements for upcoming events, projects, and proposals.
